Gun Violence Prevention Initiative: Essay Contest

• Contest guidelines will be submitted as a separate document. Submissions must be submitted electronically by 11:59 PM. There will be 2 categories eligible for prizes, K-6 and 7-12. Prizes will be awarded as follows:

  2nd Runner-Up: $25 Cash Prize

  1st Runner-Up: $50 Cash Prize

  Grand Prize: $100 Cash

  The essay contest will be judged by a panel of 5 individuals including Mr. Green and others to be determined. Judging will be scored based on the rubrics provided by ODE and Springboard. The essays receiving the highest combined scores will be selected as the winners.
